[Deadline] Concourse Media Launches Sales On Police Violence Thriller ‘A Shot Through The Wall’

EXCLUSIVE: Concourse Media has acquired worldwide sales rights to writer-director Aimee Long’s thriller A Shot Through The Wall, which looks at how a Chinese-American police officer’s life unravels after he accidentally shoots an innocent Black man in Brooklyn, leading to protests and further violence.

The film boasts a predominantly Asian-American cast including Kenny Leu (Midway), Tzi Ma (Mulan), Lynn Chen (Saving Face), Fiona Fu (Away), and Ciara Renee (The Flash), alongside Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years), Clifton Davis (Madame Secretary) and Derek Goh (Limitless). read more…

On the new CW series, “Kung Fu,” a man’s daughter left for three years and returned at a time when her family needed her most.

CW family member and New York’s Very Own Tzi Ma spoke to PIX11 News’ Ojinika Obiekwe about the show, what viewers can expect and the need to have Asian representation in all parts of American culture.

[CTV] Tzi Ma shows love to Sandra Oh for her activism on screen and off

Tzi Ma is not new to Hollywood and he’s not new to racism. The actor is the epitome of longevity in the entertainment business but he says it’s far more complicated than that. He shared with Etalk’s Tyronne Edwards that while he and other prominent Asian actors may strike big success, everything they do needs to be a form of activism against racism in their field and the world.

Specifically referring to Sandra Oh’s recent appearance and passionate speech at a Stop Asian Hate rally in Oakland, Pennsylvania, Ma commended her activism on the street and on the screen. He says the two cannot be distinguished from one another. read more…
